All of us know or at least have heard of Cyanide and Happiness, the famous web comics, written and illustrated by Rob DenBleyker, Kris Wilson, Dave McElfatrick and formerly Matt Melvin. Cyanide and Happiness are known for their dark humor and surrealistic stories that their comics promote, and are really funny!
The Cyanide and Happiness Adventure Game is coming for the public really soon, and it is in its Kickstarter-funding process right now, reaching an astonishing $200,000 in just only one day! It seems that everyone is waiting for this game to release, and one of the major reasons behind this is because of the popularity that Cyanide and Happiness has.
This is their Kickstarter video:
“The Cyanide & Happiness Adventure Game will complete the gaping hole in your soul, heal the feels in your heart, and wash your dishes.
The game follows Cooper “Coop” McCarthy in his quest to keep his head down and make it to graduation without having to deal with an apocalypse. Sorry Coop, you’re about to have a real rough year.
He’s also joined by Sawyer Allen, an aspiring investigative journalist with a know-it-all streak that just might save the day, and Hugo “Chowder” Malone, a consummate “gentleman” with a love for novelty swords and leaving comments on YouTube videos.” – Says the description of their Kickstarter campaign.
The game has a lot potential and the proof of that is their funding. In only one day they have accumulated over $200,000 of the set $300,000 goal and they have a month to go until their campaign ends. The potential of Cyanide and Happiness is really great in my opinion.
There are some stretch goals that the developers of the game have set and with some more funding the game will become even more interesting than it is right now.
Beginning with $500,000, they will translate the game and provide subtitles in German, French, and Spanish, and when that goal is reached; and that will happen pretty soon, they will reveal the cost of their other goal, that, of also releasing the game for platforms such as OS X and Linux.
These are your rewards of funding the game. If you want to fund Cyanide and Happiness, you can do so by clicking here.
Lastly, regarding the release date of the game, it is said that it will come by early 2018, presumably February, but we don’t know that yet.
As always, stay tuned for more information. We will inform you and update this post everytime we get more details.
