3 Game of Thrones Theories – Jaime Lannister will be the one to kill Cersei Lannister

Everyone knows about HBO’s out breaking show’s success, Game of Thrones. The one TV show that got us all addicted to it, and thus made us to anxiously wait for the next episode. Season 7 of the series is over, and the next season could come by 2018, or 2019; some sources say. Nevertheless, we are patiently waiting for the show to air again and thus learn the great war’s outcome.

We bring you today 3 fan theories about the ending of Game of Thrones. So without further ado, let’s get to it!

First Theory:

Jaimie Lannister will kill Cersei Lannister, and thus killing a king (queen for Cersei) for the second time.

This theory was posted by user denial61 on a Reddit post.

“In Bran’s visions in Season 4 we see a vision of a Dragon flying over Kings Landing. Now I know that could foreshadow the meeting at the Dragonpit but keep with me here. There is also still I assume Wildifire under Kings Landing, I don’t think Cersei used all of it. My theory is that Jaime is Azor Ahai or Lightbringer as he will kill Cersei after they have to retreat back South after presumably losing Winterfell to the Night King if the battle goes down there in Season 8. Then Daenerys and Jon will lure the Night King into a wildfire trap with their dragons and have an epic Dragon fight or something at Kings Landing. Jaime will be the sacrifice to set off the Wildfire trap and will be the one that brings the dawn as he will be the one to kill the Night King by dying to set off the wildfire and burn the Night King and his army alive or Jon could deliver the final blow as the Night Kings army gets burnt by Wildfire. I know there is assumptions that the Night King can’t be burnt but I think thousands of barrels of Wildfire going off should do the trick? The bittersweet ending would be that everyone in Kings Landing and Jaime dies in the process, the people are killed, the Iron Throne is destroyed, Kings Landing is destroyed and the “wheel is broken” as Daenerys always wanted to do and there will be no more Iron Throne and the Night King and his army will be dead.

The reason I think Jaime will be the one to die in order to defeat the Night King is due to his whole redemption arc and filling the pages in his book that has nothing in it. Therefore, we will see the completion of his redemption arc by saving the people once again by killing the Night King just like he killed the Mad King thus still being the ‘Kingslayer’.”

Second Theory:

Bran is the one to send Uncle Benjen to help Jon when he was alone against the army of the dead.

This theory was posted by user ProbablyAPun on a Reddit post.

“Uncle Benjen coming to save Jon Snow actually makes sense. It’s not just a shitty way to close up his plot line. It’s foreshadowing the fact that Bran has actually learned how to control becoming the Three-eyed Raven. When Benjen comes and saves Bran and Meera, he states that the Three-eyed Raven had sent for him. We can only assume that the original Three-eyed Raven did this through some sort of supernatural communication, which has precedence via Bran communicating with Hodor. So, somehow, Bran learned how to communicate with him using his powers, and sent him to save Jon.”

Third Theory:

Just how Azor Ahai forged Lightbringer, the same thing will happen to Daenerys too, but she will use her dragons.

“After watching the last episode I was reminded how Azor Ahai forged Lightbringer. First he tried to temper the sword in water, next in a lion, and lastly through the heart of his wife. What if Dany’s dragons are her “swords” – Viserion just went down in water, next Rhaegal would go down fighting the Lannisters (lion) and then Dany would have to put down Drogon… Just something that popped into my head that I haven’t seen anywhere yet.”

So what do you guys think? Do you think that these theories make sense? Do you think that that’ll be the fate of Jamie? Do you think that Uncle Benjen was sent by Bran to help Jon? Comment your opinions below!
